Images of Ethiopia Tour, November 2008
We have recently returned from your Images of Ethiopia tour and felt we must let you know how much we enjoyed the visit and especially to bring to your notice the truly excellent services provided by the Ethiopian guide.
The tour was the most wonderful experience, and we have lasting memories of following Christianity and the bible from its earliest beginnings. The tour certainly lived up to your claim “it’s our experience that makes yours”.
The guide, Ermias Tadesse (Jeremiah to us) was the most courteous, kind, generous and more importantly, superbly knowledgeable guide we have experienced over a lifetime of traveling. He has a passion for his country, its history, culture and natural beauty and was eager to share this with us at all times. We also found the whole tour ran so smoothly in what we would regard as a newly developing country and we are sure this was due not only to the organizational skills of Jeremiah but also to the fact that he was always prepared to accept responsibility and exercise the appropriate authority to ensure we did not experience any inconvenience. Jeremiah was clearly well known and respected wherever we went and this meant that we were able to visit places and meet people that we might not normally have been able to do. We would be grateful if you would pass our comments on to Footprints Ethiopia Tour and Travel.
Thank you for arranging this wonderful tour.

In January of 2008
In January of 2008 I made my first trip to Ethiopia with my daughter. Our guide for our 18 day tour of the south just happened to be Ermias, now the director of Footprints. We both had an amazing fun, simply incredible time so much so in fact that I have been back twice since. Ermias was and is without doubt the best guide I have ever met in Ethiopia. He has a brilliant command of English and massive knowledge of his country and people and we learnt so much. I met many other people taking exactly the same tour with other guides, and found that many of them were dissatisfied with the level of service their guides provided…the country of course remains brilliant. Thanks to Ermias expertise and intuition on what us people from the West consider important, (punctuality being one simple example) we simple could not find one fault with our adventure. I returned in January 2009, this time with my son. We of course requested the services of Footprints and took another tour of the South, this time asking for something a little more off any tourist track. Once again Ermias arranged a brilliant tour, which changed from day to day as we moved on, and we even drove in to Kenya and Lake Turkhana for a day. My son and I yet again had a brilliant, memorable time. I could say many more positive things about both Footprints Ethiopia and Ermias, so if any one wishes to contact me please feel free to use my email address below. I have to add that I am really impressed with the sustainable tourism philosophy that Footprints Ethiopia is taking which is so important for its land and people. And I love the new Care Programme which shows you such an important aspect of how poor the country and how hard people strive to become educated or simply to stay alive. It gives you an opportunity to give back to a country which will give you so much.
Have fun!

Three fantastic weeks in Ethiopia
28 March 2014, 14:19 (Trip Advisor)
Thanks to Footprint Ethiopia Tour Operator, we discovered Ethiopia the best way possible, touring both North and South during 19 days.
With only 2 days notice, Footprint managed to organize the trip with best local guides, plane ticket, hotels and everything. We trusted them entirely, which allows us to save our energy and enjoy every single moment of our visit.
The quality of the guides during historical visit made a difference. They always rely on best local suppliers which also is a plus for their client.
They were also very flexible on any trip changes we wanted to make at the very last minutes.
There should be 1 Footprint Ethiopia Company in every single country for tourist like us to have a chance to discover deeply a country.

We had a fantastic tour with Footprints. Everything was very well organized; the guides were all fantastic and knew so much about the places and festivals we visited. The places we stayed were also great. No complaints – I would highly recommend to anyone to take a tour with Footprints!
Three fantastic weeks in Ethiopia

We were two single women travelling in Ethiopia for 3 weeks, touring both the North and the South. Our trip was amazing thanks to our outstanding guide who travelled with us the entire time. I can’t say enough about Ermias Tadesse – manager of Footprint Ethiopia based in Addis. He is fluent in English and several other languages, articulate, well informed and has a great sense of humour (welcome on long trips) if you are looking for a top notch guide to show you the gems of Ethiopia, contact Ermias at Footprint Ethiopia Tours

We explored Ethiopia with “Footprints Ethiopia’ in Sept 2012.
The trip started in Addis Ababa and ran for 8 days, visiting Bahir Dar, Gondar, Lalibela, and finally Axum in the far North.
This trip in a word was fantastic.
There was so much to see, and enjoy, and the historical sites were great. The country has so much to offer, and is unspoilt.
We were there at the same time the Meskal festival was being celebrated, which we saw in Axum, so that was an added bonus.
Footprints looked after us the whole way, which included some airport pickups etc., and we had no problems.
We would recommend Ethiopia to any travellers who want to get off the beaten track, and experience something different.

Re: reputable tour operator needed

Just finished touring for 5 weeks in Ethiopia and can highly recommend the travel company Footprints Ethiopia. Ermias is a well know guide in Ethiopia and Footprints is his own company that he started three years ago. Once the itinerary was settled we were asked to send a deposit only for the trip – seemed reasonable. We went by gut feeling and as the US dollar was favorable we paid for the tour in full and were not disappointed at all, and this company honoured all its promises. All the bests

The organization was Immaculate we met a variety of drivers and guides all enthusiastic all knowledgeable all friendly. So, we have arrived home tired and thankful to have had such a wonderful time, mainly thanks to your superb skills as a leader. I can see why John is so passionate about your incredible country. It struck me that it must be one of the most beautiful countries in the world and the people are amazing so ready to smile and so ready to open their hearts. It was a great privilege to tour your land with your knowledge and see and sense what a marvellous country Ethiopia is. I can only say that if the gods are willing we shall return and until then we shall keep Ethiopia close in our hearts. Coming home is painful when such wonderful things are far away, but we were very fortunate to on many levels to have chosen this holiday and with all its blessings, it will remain in our hearts as indeed will you. You work hard at what you do and remain professional always. I am sure in years to come that you will build up a very successful company, as you deserve so to do. Thank you again for all you did for us whilst we were with you, and all that you showed us, the riches of a magnificent land and the openness of your heart and generosity of your spirit. May you and your family know the best of life’s blessings; you will be missed but often mentioned and thought of so as to keep the special memories close. Meantime we send Selams and Love.

Hi Banchi, Thank you for your email welcoming us home. We would very much like to say Thank You for organizing our tour. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we did and saw, and think you have an amazing and friendly country. . Our driver Gobeze was excellent and a fountain of knowledge everywhere we went, it is nice to learn about the places from a local person rather than just do a tour. I do hope that in the future we can again visit Ethiopia and would certainly get in touch with you for advice on travelling and tours. Be assured that we have talked a lot, and still are telling everyone we meet that Ethiopia is a beautiful country, very diverse in culture, history, scenery, and everywhere friendly and helpful people, also very safe. We now have a huge amount of photographs to remind us of our visit to you. Thank you again for all your help, until our next visit
