Day 1: Arrival Addis Ababa

Bole International airport meeting and transfer to hotel.  The rest of the day is exploring the town of Addis Ababa; we will view the 3.6 million year old remains of Lucy, whose skeletal remains were discovered in 1974, Holy Trinity Cathedrals and time permitting Mount Entoto which rises up to an altitude of 3200 meters and offers the panoramic view of the metropolis and Mercato the open market.

Optional tour to Fistula Hospital is a remarkable place to visit, and is considered the best-run charity in the country

Day 2: Addis Ababa-Mekele -Hamed Ela

Early morning fly to Mekele and meet vehicles and drive from Mekele to Hamed ella via Berhale, beautiful town in amazing rock formation and the best place for picture of the Camel Caravan with the African Sunset. O/n Camping

Visit Asale Salt mining with the salt workers and the merchant from the highland salt market and the lake and proceed 17 km to Dallol and enjoy the spectacular view and small hill which is colourful by hot spring in several places. The hot spring out with the sulfurs, potash and salt it forms spectacular formation. PM drive to Dodem Overnight Camping

Day 4: Dodem- Erta alle

Early morning start walking to the Erta Alle Volcanic hills (613 meters above sea level) and see the volcanic eruption; the eruption is so colourful and spectacular. We will camp nearby the eruption considering the direction of the wind because of the volcanic acid which is not good for health, anytime any one can see or take a picture. To get Best pictures of the volcano will be a night shooting. Overnight camping Erta Alle.

Day 5: Erta alle- Afdera

Early morning walking back to Dodem and meet the driver and drive 65 km to Afdera.
After noon visit the salt mining from Lake Afdera. Overnight Local hotel

Day 6: Afdera – Awash

Drive to Awash town which is located in the central part of the rift valley system via Semera, on the good paved road, on the way visit one of the know Afar Village to learn the way of living and their culture. Overnight Awash Genet Hotel

Day 7: Awash – Addis Ababa

Drive back to Addis Ababa, Pm City tour in Addis, the National Museum that exhibits numerous antiquates, historical relics, archaeological and pale ontological objects including the 3.2 million year old skeleton of Lucy; one of the fine Ethiopian Orthodox Churches St. George Cathedral that contain several interesting modern paintings and mosaics and Mercato-biggest open air market of its kind in Africa. Evening we will have a fare well dinner in one of the Ethiopian restaurants for cultural dinner and dances from different ethnic groups. Then transfer to the airport for departure.

Day 8: Awash – Addis Ababa

Drive back to Addis Ababa, Pm City tour in Addis, the National Museum that exhibits numerous antiquates, historical relics, archaeological and pale ontological objects including the 3.2 million year old skeleton of Lucy; one of the fine Ethiopian Orthodox Churches St. George Cathedral that contain several interesting modern paintings and mosaics and Mercato-biggest open air market of its kind in Africa.
