ETHIOPIA-ROCK HEWN CHURCHES OF LALIBELA & TIGRAY TOUR ITINERARY:-On surface & flight- 10 days
Day 1: Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lalibela (1 20 min).
Up on arrival start exploring the remarkable rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and visit the old village with traditional Tikul House. Hotel
Day 2: Full day in Lalibela, visit the remaining churches and the monasteries outside Lalibela Naakuto Laab Cave church.
Day 3: Excursion to some of the rock churches located outside Lalibela among which the most famous ones are YimrehaneKiristos and Genete Mariam Overnight Hotel
Day 4: Lalibela-Mekele (314 km). The whole day is required to cover this distance. Drive to Mekele. On the way enjoy the amazing scenery, the countryside and the people. Overnight hotel
Day 5: Drive to Gheralta, one of the most striking sites in Ethiopia On the was visit some of the rock churches in the region,among which are; Mikael Imba, Wukro Cherkos and Abreha we Atsbeha. Overnight Hotel
Day 6: Full day in Gheralta, visiting two of the Rock churches Debre Tsion and Mariam Papasit.

Day 7: Full day in Gheralta, Visiting the most famous ones, Abune Yemata and Mariam Korkor, which requires a relatively fare fitness in walking up heel and sometimes climbing. Hotel
Day 8: Geralta -Axum
Drive to Aksum, on the way visit the 7th century Muslim settlement in Ethiopia, and the oldest temple of the moon, Yeha. Overnight Hotel
Day 9: Aksum
Full day sightseeing in Axum that includes the Stele, carved out of single granite stone of the pre Christian era, the palace and tombs of Kings, the old and new St, Mary Churches, the remnant palace of the legendary Queen Sheba, and inscriptions. Overnight Hotel
Day 10: AXUM- ADDIS: Morning transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa.
Sightseeing in Addis Ababa and shopping, early evening, we will have a coffee ceremony to our appreciation for touring with us, Foot prints and we dine a fair well dinner at one of the traditional restaurant with folklore music and dances then depart to home.
