ETHIOPIA- HISTORICAL TOUR ITINERARY ON FLIGHT AND SURFACE 8 DAYS
Day 1: Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, You will be greeted with the company representative at the airport and transferred to the hotel. (Depending on your arrival time we can arrange afternoon or after hour city tour)
Day 2: Addis Ababa – Bahirdar: Be transferred to the air port for flight to Bahirdar. (50 minutes). City tour in Bahirdar that includes the color full market, Emperor Haile Sillasse palace located at Bezawit hill with panorama view to the out let of Nile.
Day 3: Drive to visit the Water Falls of the Blue Nile falls. Afternoon, a boat trip on Ethiopia's largest Lake called Tana known for its middle age island monasteries and visit some of this monasteries.
Day 4: Bahirdar-Gondor: Drive to Gondar which is 175Km/ 120 Miles from Bahir Dar (takes 4 hours). City tour of the medieval castle enclosure and visit the beautiful church of trinity.
Day 5: Gondor –Axum: Fly to Axum (40 min). On Arrival a city tour of Aksum which includes the archaeological sites and the church.
Day 6: Axum –Lalibela: Fly to Lalibela (40 min). On arrival visit the rock hewn churches of Lalibela.
Day 7: Full day in Lalibela: visit the remaining churches and one of the famous rock church outside Lalibela.
Day 8: Lalibela-Addis Ababa: Fly back to Addis Ababa (55 min).Visit a museum and if time permits the largest open air market ‘Mercato’. A traditional coffee ceremony hosted to you by Foot Prints Ethiopia group. In the evening we will dine in one of the traditional restaurants and depart.
