Day 1: Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, You will be greeted with the company representative at the airport and transferred to Ghion hotel. (Depending on your arrival time we can arrange afternoon or after hour city tour)
Day 2: Drive to Debre Markos. (300 km takes 6 hours).
On the way visit the 13th century monastery of Debre Libanos, and driving via The Blue Nile Gorge which is compared to The Grand Canyon and the Oromo people and their village. Overnight Shebel Hotel
Day 3: Debre Markos- Bahirdar. (265 km takes 5 hours)
Drive to Debre Markos On the way visit Zengena Crater Lake and arrived at Bahirdar by noon. In the afternoon drive some 35 km to visit the Blue Nile falls. O/n Bahirdar Tana Hotel
Day 4: Bahirdar.
Am boat trip on Lake Tana and visit the 14th century Ura Kidanemihret Monastery on Zegge Peninsula fame for beautiful paintings PM city tour in Bahirdar. O/n Bahirdar Tana hotel
Day 5: Bahirdar –Gondor: (180 km takes 4 hours)
Drive to Gondar. Pm Visit the 17th century royal enclosure, the bath of King Fasiledes and Debre Birhane Selassie church. O/n Gondor Goha Hotel
Day 6: Gondor- Semien Mountain National Park (122 km takes 4 hours)
Drive to Semien mountain Park, to wonder the spectacular scenery, see endemic mammals and Hiking on the escarpment (optional). Overnigt Semien Lodge.
Day 7: Semien Mountain- Axum (280 km takes 7 hours)
Drive to Axum alongside the Semien Mountains range with its scenery. O/n Axum Yeha hotel
Day 8: Axum
Full day in Axum, visit the archeological sites and St. Mary of Tsion (Zion) church, the final resting place of the Ark of the Covenant. Overnight Axum Yeha Hotel
Day 9: Axum- Gere’alta (195 Km takes 6 hours)
Drive to Gere’alta, on the way visit the oldest moon temple of Yeha dating back 5th century BC, the oldest Mosque and Muslim settlement of Nejash and the Tigrian People with their village. Overnight Geralta Lodge
Day 10: Geralta-Mekele (90 Km 5 hours)
Drive to Mekele, on the way visit some of the Tigrian Rock Hewn Church such as Aberha we Atsbeha and Wukro Cherkos church. O/n Axum Hotel
Day 11: Mekele-Lalibela. (360 km takes 8 hours)
Eight hours drive to Lalibela through the beautiful mountain scenery and meet the Amhara people, see their house and village. O/n Lalibela Roha Hotel
Day 12: Lalibela
Full day in Lalibela town, attend the colorful Timket (Epiphany) Ceremony and visit the remarkable rock hewn churches of Lalibela, regarded as the eighth wonder of the world by many scholars and see the traditional two story Tikul house. O/n Lalibela Roha Hotel
Day 13: Lalibela
Attend more the ceremony and Excursion tour to see the churches found outside Lalibela. O/n Lalibela Roha Hotel
Day 14: Lalibela-Kombolcha (320 km takes 6 hours)
Drive to Kombolcha through fantastic scenery and mountain ranges all along the way. Visit the 13th centrury Haik Istifanos Monastery. O/n Sunny Star Hotel.
Day 15: Kombolcha-Addis Ababa (380 Km 7 hours)
Drive back to Addis Ababa City tour in Addis or optional at leisure time. We dine in traditional restaurant for our appreciation and then fly back to home.
