With over 80 distinct and fascinating ethnic groups, Ethiopia provides a mix of cultures and traditions that ranges between the modern and sophisticated lives of the cities to the most untouched and authentic African tribes of the remote parts of south western Ethiopia. Popular sites of the cultural route are dozens of Omo tribes, Afar people, and Gambela are the highlight of the cultural attractions circuit. Hamer, Mursi, Karo, Surma, Arbore, Konso, Borena, Afar, Anuak, Nuer… are among the major tribes.
Means of transportation to Cultural Route: by 4WD and regular flight is only possible to two sites (Arbaminch) and Gambella.
